Gospel singer Egbin Orun, Morenikeji Adeleke, is dead

Gospel singer Morenikeji Adeleke, also known as Egbin Orun, has tragically passed away. The news of her death was shared by her colleague Esther Igbekele through an Instagram post late on Saturday. Igbekele expressed deep sadness over the loss of Egbin Orun, highlighting her as a “beautiful and kind-hearted woman” who had been a strong supporter of her. Igbekele reminisced about their conversation just a week prior, making Egbin Orun’s sudden departure even more poignant.

In her Instagram post, Igbekele conveyed her heartfelt emotions, expressing her sorrow with tearful emojis and bidding farewell to Egbin Orun while wishing her eternal rest in the arms of Christ. The loss of Egbin Orun is deeply felt, with Igbekele acknowledging the significant impact she had on their community and ministry.

Furthermore, in an additional Instagram post on Sunday, Igbekele continued to mourn Egbin Orun’s passing, acknowledging that she will be greatly missed and noting that heaven has gained an angel.

Despite the outpouring of grief and condolences, the cause of Egbin Orun’s death remains undisclosed. As of now, there has been no official statement from her family or the Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria regarding the circumstances surrounding her passing.
