How I plan to make inflation drop from 34.6% to 15% – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has said that he is working round the clock to reduce the current inflation rate in Nigeria from 34.6% to 15%.

Tinubu while speaking at first President Media Chat on Monday, December 23, said he is working with his team to ensure Nigerians get a better life.

He said his administration will work towards improving consumption of locally made items and food and give reasonable level of funding to farmers across the nation.

The president also assured that security in Nigeria will be improved to allow farmers go back to their farms and do their business without any form of fear or attack.

He said, “One, produce more for consumption locally, support imports, give reasonable level of funding and assistance, low interest rates to farmers, improve the security as you’ve seen in the budget, so that they can return to their farms and you know, produce more food.

“And encourage the procurement and manufacturing of drugs in Nigeria. We have what it takes…talk to Professor Patrick, he is doing an excellent job, trying to encourage… all I need to do is to put the incentives in place in order for them to harness what is possible in Nigeria. It is about time we do all of those. Bring the cost of governance down,” Tinubu said.
