The Senior Pastor of Power City International Ministry, Abel Damina said it is still too early to judge President Bola Tinubu’s government.
He said this as a guest on the Mic On podcast hosted by broadcast journalist, Seun Okinbaloye.
“Like I’ve said to a few people, it’s a bit too early to judge the government of Bola Tinubu. Let’s give it a little more time.
“A number of things are still being put in place. Even appointments are still ongoing,” Damina said.
Asked if the Tinubu government was on the right path, Damina said it was impossible for any earthly government to be perfect.
“Perfection cannot be found in an imperfect man. I believe the government is doing its best to see to how they can help Nigeria, the system and help Nigerians from suffering from all that is going on.
“I believe that if they put more effort, we will begin to see the dividends of governance,” he said.
The controversial preacher also downplayed the Muslim-Muslim ticket, saying the capacity of leaders should take greater precedent.
“It (Muslim-Muslim ticket) is not an issue to me because the nation is not owned by religion; it’s owned by citizens.
“So whether it’s Muslim-Muslim, Christian-Christian, it doesn’t make any difference as long as the people that are coming under that ticket have what it takes to deliver the dividends of democracy.”
