APC NWC drops Uzodinma, appoints Otu to conduct primary in Edo

The National Working Committee NWC of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has dropped the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma as Chairman of its Edo State Primary Election Committee.

In his stead, the party appointed a member of the committee and Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu to coordinate the exercise.


Other members of the committee include Mrs Titilayo Tomori, Hon. Umar Hassan, Lawal Garba and a former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Rabiu Sulaiman who would serve as Secretary of the committee.

The had been several protests against the outcome of last Saturday’s primary election which threw up three “candidates”.

Since then, some of the aspirants and other stakeholders had petitioned the NWC asking it to sack Uzodinma.
