In April 2024, Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison for naira abuse after videos showed him defacing Nigerian currency at a public event.
Bobrisky was arraigned on four counts of naira abuse and two counts of suspected money laundering, though the court dropped the money laundering charges.
