A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Buba Galadima, has expressed his fear that State Police will put an end to Democracy in Nigeria.
He stated this while featuring as guest on Arise TV daily magazine program.
Buba explained that he is a supporter of restructuring but that right now he is not so certain what the definition of restructuring is that we are clamouring for.
He said if we relate this to the police, it would have meant that each state now has a self owned police force which would pose a threat to freedom of movement from one state to another.
“If with a national police, we have had so much to handle, what about a police force by people from within a state”, he said.
Speaking on 2023 presidency, Galadima noted that Nigeria is now at a point where we should not be talking about zoning but we should be looking at getting a President who is competent and is capable of doing the job.
