Twitter has announced that it labelled approximately 300,000 tweets about the United States election over the last two weeks.
The tech giant said tweets flagged had “potentially misleading” contents.
Head of Legal, Policy and Trust, Vijaya Gadde, and its Head of Product, Kayvon Beykpour, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
The officials said affected tweets represent 0.2 per cent of no fewer than 150 million U.S. election-related messages.
They recalled that in 2019, the public demanded that Twitter offers context on misleading information.
