Àṣà Yorùbá jẹ́ àṣà tí ọ́ tọ́, tí ó ṣì gbayì púpọ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn èdè yòókù ṣe ní àwọ̀n ònkà òwe, àti ábídí tí wọ́n, bẹ́ẹ̀ni èdè yorùbá náà ṣe ní ti rẹ̀.

Láti lè mọ púpọ̀ nípa àṣà yorùbá, ilé isẹ́ Affairstv ti se ètò fún yín láti rànyín lọ́wọ́ láti mọ òwe yorùbá dáradára.

21). Bí a bá dijú tẹ abàtà mọlẹ̀, yó ba ni láṣọ jẹ́.
if one steps on the marshy place with closed eyes, the marshy will soil one’s clothes.

22). Ẹni sọ̀rọ̀ púpọ̀ yó sìsọ, àsọjù lóhún mú ìyá ọba pe ara rẹ̀ ní ìyá ọbọ.
Whoever talks excessively will mispeak, excessive talk is how the king’s mother reffered to herself as the mother of monkeys.

23). Àisédédé ará ayé lóhún mú ni rántí ará ọrun.
The untoward behaviour of those alive is what makes one lines for those who had gone.

24). Akẹ̀san lòpin Ọ̀yọ́, ibi abáni lọ́wọ́ ni ilé ẹni.
Akesan is the boundary of Oyo; the place where one is found in dignity is one’s home.

25). Èdí kì mú ọjọ́ kó má là.
No charm can act upon the day and keep it from dawning.

26). Ìràwọ̀ ọ̀sán gangan tó hún ti gbogbo àgbàlagbà ń péjọ wò.
A star that shows up at noon merits the undivided attention of the elders.

26). Tí òjò bá kọ tí kò rọ, ìyẹn ò ní ká sọpé kí omi òkun ya wọ ìlú.
That it has not rained for a while, is no reason to wish the sea would flood the City.

27). A kì mọ orúkọ Ọlọ́run kí ìyá jẹ ẹni.
One don’t know God’s name and still suffer.

28). Oore kéré, oore tóbi, oore loore yóó ma jẹ́.
Whether small or big, a kind act remains a kind act.

29). Àṣá kìí rá bàbà, kí adìye gbé kòkòrò dání.
A yẹn won’t be preoccupied with an insect, while the kite hovers above.

30). Àjùmobí ò kan tàánú, ẹni tí orí bá rán sí ni, ló ń ṣe ni lóore.
