Protest hit Osogbo again, over Electricity and fuel price hike

Joint Action Forum (JAF) together with youths, protested against the hike in electricity Tariff, and petroleum price in Osogbo, Osun State.

Affairstv recalls that National Association of Nigerian students (NANS) in conjunction with Revolution now movement held a protest in Osogbo over the hike in electricity, and pump price.

Today, Wednesday, the Joint Action Forum held a protest again this morning around 9:00am.

They displayed and hold a big banner expressing their displeasure over the price hike of both electricity and p.m.p pump price.

One of the convener, Comrade Alfred Adegoke said; “Buhari has said a lie, by saying he wants to remove subsidy, he said nothing like subsidy but to steal what belongs to us, federal government of Nigeria are suckling our bloods, they are blood sicker, he said.

I am using this medium to call out Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), to declare a national strike now!!! You all are a failure to the Nigerians, ” President Muhammadu Buhari, Resign now!!!! If you’re not ready to revert the prices back, resign now!!!,” he concluded.

Another convener, Comrade MAO, we are urging everyone, all concerned citizens to come out to protest against the Federal Government that we Nigerians are in agony, because if there is hike in price of Electricity, and fuel, the food we eat will be more costier, we are begging and urging the government to have mercy on us, because if there is peace throughout the country, there is peace for them too, he said.

The hike in price has not been a very easy thing for we Nigerians, don’t let us be seeing those in power as the ones that have power over u, we are the one that have power over them, these people promised us many things during their election, but they all fail their various promises, China is just 10years ahead us, and they are the most popular country in the world today.
