“We have not received fund from FG to fight COVID-19”, Says Osun Health Commissioner

The Osun State Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu has stated that Federal Government has not given Osun State in form of bail out to fight COVID-19, Affairs TV Report.

He stated this while featuring on a daily interview programme of Rave FM osogbo called Frank Talk, which was monitred bu Affairs TV.

Dr Isamotu explained that all the efforts and measures that the Osun State Government has put in place to COVID-19 has been on state funds and that Federal Government has not released any fund to the state.

When asked if COVID-19 has gotten to the level of community spreading in the state based on the recent rise in increase of case discovery, also as reported by Affairs TV News.

The Commissioner explained that it can not be concluded that Osun has gotten to that level because all the confirmed cases in Osun has been from people who came in to the state from other states like Lagos and Oyo State and they may have had contact with a COVID-19 patient.

He then admonished residents of the state to adhere to the given law by the state government to always use face mask and also keep physical distances whenever they go out.
