Kogi Lawmaker, John Abbah is dead

The Kogi House of Assembly has lost one of its members, John Abah.

He was a second term lawmaker representing the Ibaji Constituency.

Abah was said to have died in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Kogi East Zonal Chairman of the All progressives Congress, Ahmed Omiattah, who confirmed the death in a statement, said “We regret to announce the demise of John Abah, the member representing the Ibaji Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.

“I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the good people of Ibaji and the immediate family of the deceased.”

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, has described Abah’s death as shocking.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Femi Olugbemi, the Speaker expressed sadness over the death of the lawmaker.

He described Abah’s death at this time as a monumental loss to the 7th assembly “considering his robust contributions on the floor of the House.”
