Just In: Amotekun corps intercepts 14 Almajarai hidden in vehicle container in Osun

The Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Operation Amotekun has intercepted 14 Almajarai hiding in the container of a vehicle on Sunday at Ikire, Irewole local government area, Osun State.

The Nation learnt that the corps at a checkpoint stopped and forced the driver of the vehicle to open the container after which 14 Almajarai were found hiding in it.

It was reliably gathered that the driver could not explain the reason for travelling.

They were reportedly sent back by the corps to avoid the spread of coronavirus in the state.

The DIrector-General of Amotekun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu confirmed the incident and commended his men for being proactive to the security of Osun State.

He, therefore, called on residents of Osun State to support the outfit by providing necessary information that will further help in securing the state.

He also warned criminals to stay off the state or face the full wrath of the law.
