Just In: Osun records one new COVID-19 case

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed on Friday night that Osun State has a recorded a new case of COVID-19.

This was contained in the daily update of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria by NCDC

This brings the total number of cases recorded in Osun from the beginning of the outbreak in Nigeria to 38.

Recall that Affairs TV had reported that first set of cases Osun recorded were from Côte devoir returnees.

As at the time of filing this report, the state government is yet to confirm the new case, though the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu had said on Thursday while announcing the discharge of 8 patients that the state is expecting the result of one sample sent to NCDC

That brings the number of active COVID-19 cases in Osun to 3
