Former Karela United striker William Opoku Mensah will be announced as a new player of Asante Kotoko on Monday.
The 23-year-old has reached an agreement with the Porcupine Warriors lads over his possible move to the club.
He was linked with a sensational switch to their arch-rivals Hearts of Oak last week.
He is currently without a club after his contract with American second-tier side Swope Park Rangers was terminated due to his poor output.
He failed to make a single appearance for the affiliate club of Sporting Kansas City in the United Soccer League.
Mensah joined Swope Park Rangers from Ghana Premier League side Karela United after guiding them as skipper in their debut season in the Ghana Premier League.
He scored seven (7) goals in his 14 appearances for Karela United FC during the first round of the truncated 2018 Ghana Premier League season.
Mensah scored a 19-minute hat trick against traditional Ghanaian powerhouse, Hearts of Oak in April 2018.
