GFA to announce TV broadcaster for the GPL, next week

Ghana football association has announced that seven television stations have applied for the right to telecast the Ghana Premier League, 2019-2020 season but the selected one will be announced next week.

In a release issued by the communications department of GFA, after the advertisement on the application for the right, seven companies applied. They have studied their conditions and the selected one will be made public next week

Meanwhile, the bid for the radio right has been extended to Tuesday, 31st of this month.

“The Ghana Football Association wishes to inform its stakeholders that at the end of the deadline for submission of bids for Television Broadcast Rights of the various GFA-organised competitions, the GFA received bids from seven organisations for the television rights.

The GFA has since been evaluating the bids and it will announce a decision next week.

For Radio Commentary Rights, the Association has decided to extend the period for expression of interest by radio stations to 5 p.m. on Tuesday December 31, 2019.

Meanwhile, the GFA is processing accreditation requests received from media houses and journalists. The GFA will inform stakeholders in due course for journalists to pick up their accreditation badges.

Until then, media personnel are to use their current GFA Media Identification Cards to access entry into venues of the Premier League.
