The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba (Dr) Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi has advised the indigenes of Iwoland to focus on developing the land.
He made this statement while delivering his speech at the 2019 edition of Iwo Day that held on Saturday at Oluwo Stadium and Iwo.
Oluwo explained that no matter where people go to they will still come home because there is no place like home.
He added that indigenes of Iwo who are in diaspora should also be encouraged to come home and invest in the land as well as invest in people.
Oluwo added that election is over and its time for all the politicians in Iwo to come together so they can use there influence to drag good tidings to Iwoland regardless of there political party.
He expressed joy that people came out in mass to witness this years edition of Iwo and he ended his speech by praying immensely for all attendees asking to lay there hands on there head as he prays.
The event which was well attended by many indigene and non indigenes of the has in attendance Senator Adelere Oriolowo, Senator Solomon Yayi, Honourable Yunusa Amobi, Honourable Halil Adebayo, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Dr Abdulraham Adedoyin, Hon Semiu Okanlawon.
